. Cornerback. Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevon Diggs. 20. player. 52

Last mock, the Jaguars went cornerback then wide receiver with their first two picks. This time around, they do the inverse. Go figure.

In all reality, the Jaguars are well-positioned to take a cornerback here that could be a good scheme fit for them. The tier-two guys are all still on the board here, so the Jaguars can take their pick of the litter to serve as their new No. 1 cornerback.

In this situation, Trevon Diggs is the best option. He’s my pick for the No. 3 corner in this class and comes in at 29 overall on my Top 150 Big Board. Diggs has a 6-foot-2 frame and grabbed three picks last season for Alabama. He was great in coverage and has the size needed to be an effective and physical corner at the next level.

Diggs would help to replace the gaping void left behind by the Jalen Ramsey trade. He’d have a chance to turn into a No. 1 corner and at the very least, he should be a strong starter on the outside. When paired with the decent D.J. Hayden in the slot and the veteran Rashaan Melvin, the Jaguars secondary would be in better shape, though adding another corner upgrade in the draft would be ideal.

If the Jags aren’t fans of Diggs, Kristian Fulton and A.J. Terrell are the other top corner options at this point. If they want to go a different route to upgrade the secondary, they could go with Alabama safety Xavier McKinney here, but corner is a much bigger need for the squad.
