player. 28. . Wide Receiver. Las Vegas Raiders. Jerry Jeudy. 12

The Raiders need a true No. 1 receiver for their offense. The Antonio Brown experiment of last offseason failed miserably, and now, they need to find a complement for Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow, two players that did well in their first seasons in Oakland.

With the team now in Las Vegas, they could opt for some flash. I did consider Henry Ruggs here but ultimately went with Jeudy.

Jeudy is the best overall receiver in this draft, in this analyst’s opinion. He’s a great route runner, has good speed, is dynamic after the catch, and was productive in each of his three seasons at Alabama. He averaged 72.5 catches, 1,239 yards, and 12 touchdowns in his final two collegiate seasons.

Jeudy would give the Raiders what they were hoping to get in Brown. A durable, reliable pass-catcher who can be both a volume receiver and a big-time playmaker. He may not be as flashy as Ruggs, but he’ll certainly provide value to Derek Carr as a security blanket and as someone who will get open no matter what with his route running.

If CeeDee Lamb is on the board here, he’ll probably be the pick over Jeudy, though it is close between the two receivers. Overall, Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden will likely be happy so long as they come away with a true top wide-out with one of their two first-round draft picks this offseason.
