Washington Redskins 2020 NFL Draft all-rookie team
By Ian Cummings
EDGE – Chase Young, K’Lavon Chaisson, Yetur Gross-Matos, Jabari Zuniga
Chase Young? Who’s that guy? Never heard of him.
Redskins fans won’t be interested in any other edge prospects, as Young is most likely the pick at No. 2. But just to fill out the all-rookie team, let’s take a look at some other players who’ll be available at that position.
K’Lavon Chaisson is my EDGE2; he wasn’t nearly as productive or consistent as Young in college, but he offers similarly stark explosiveness and bend for his 6-foot-3, 250-pound frame, and he improved over the course of the 2019 season. Yetur Gross-Matos offers solid athleticism as well, and he’s a long edge rusher who could accumulate a very complete tool box in a year or two.
Jabari Zuniga, for now, is EDGE4. He’s inconsistent, but he’s incredibly explosive off the line, and he has the look of a productive speed rusher, if he lands with a team that can maximize his skill set and glean the best out of him.
