28. . Wide Receiver. Las Vegas Raiders. CeeDee Lamb. 12. player

Ian: Three tackles in a row? Come on, Jacob, have some originality.

I say this, of course, as I pick the guy who’s literally been mocked to the Las Vegas Raiders in every other mock draft this offseason: Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Let’s not blame me, though. The fit is good. The Raiders need more dynamic ability at wide receiver, and while CeeDee Lamb isn’t the top-flight athlete that Henry Ruggs III is, or the human joystick that Jerry Jeudy is, he offers the most complete skill set of the group.

I like to say Lamb is solid at every phase of the catch. Before the catch, he offers good toughness against press coverage, and good suddenness and nuance as a route runner. At the catch point, he has superb body control and focus. And after the catch, Lamb offers very good ball carrying ability, with the open-field agility and motor to keep seeking out lanes.

Yeah, it’s not an original idea. But it’s a good one. No one gets called out for using a good idea twice.
