Picks 53-56

53. Philadelphia Eagles: Oklahoma DL Neville Gallimore

Philadelphia is clearly going all-in for another potential Super Bowl run in 2020. They added nose tackle Javon Hargrave in free agency to bolster their front, and they also traded for Darius Slay, a productive cornerback who’s at the tail end of an illustrious career. If you’re the Eagles, why not compound the improvement on the defensive side of the ball, and make a scary rotation even scarier? Neville Gallimore is an athletic, powerful lineman who would feast in a lineup featuring Fletcher Cox and Hargrave, and in time, he could carry on the torch as the premier starter.

54. Buffalo Bills: Notre Dame EDGE Khalid Kareem

The Buffalo Bills barely have any immediate needs, so they have a lot of flexibility with how they intend to tackle the 2020 NFL Draft. There are a number of defensive positions that could see eventual improvement, including edge, where the Bills’ sturdy veterans are continually aging. Getting a younger player to develop as a future starter is imperative for Buffalo, and Notre Dame’s Khalid Kareem profiles well there. He has NFL size, length, and power, and he also flashes some of the mobility elements that are coveted in modern edge rushers. He needs polish, and Buffalo is a place where he can get it.

55. Baltimore Ravens (from NE, via ATL): Southern Illinois S/LB Jeremy Chinn

The Baltimore Ravens have a definite need at the linebacker spot, but that doesn’t mean they have to sift directly through the linebacker pool. No linebackers at this juncture appeared to be worth the No. 55 pick, so instead, the Ravens went with Jeremy Chinn. At 6-foot-3, 221, with 4.45 speed and a 41-inch vertical, Chinn is an elite athlete who could transition well to a linebacker role that emphasizes his upside in coverage and his tenacity as a tackler.

56. Miami Dolphins (via NO): Minnesota S Antoine Winfield Jr.

The Dolphins secondary is suddenly a very intriguing position group, as Miami has a very exciting and expensive cornerback duo featuring Byron Jones and Xavien Howard. With Reshad Jones now gone from the group, the Dolphins need to reinvest in their safety situation, and who better to add than Minnesota standout Antonie Winfield Jr.? Winfield Jr. is a playmaker, plain and simple, and he provides an enticing combination of athleticism and instincts to the safety position, traits that culminate in impressive versatility.
