123. . Edge Rusher. Dallas Cowboys. K'Lavon Chaisson. 17. player

There are certain positions in the NFL that you don’t take for granted, and edge rusher is one of them. The pressure unit is arguably the most important department of the defense, and the Cowboys lost a lot of pressure when Robert Quinn joined the Bears in free agency.

Dallas needs a new edge presence to pair with Demarcus Lawrence, and at No. 17, LSU’s K’Lavon Chaisson is a good pick. He doesn’t quite fit the immediacy of the Cowboys’ championship window, as he still needs some more development, in terms of a pass rushing plan.

That said, Chaisson is an elite athlete with length of a similar caliber, and he’s a fast, aggressive rusher who also provides some anchor ability in run defense. The Cowboys could find ways to maximize Chaisson’s athleticism early on, and eventually develop him into a consistent sack getter.
