player. 30. . Wide Receiver. New York Jets. Henry Ruggs III. 11

Every offseason, it seems like the Jets don’t really know what they’re doing. And that’s too bad, because the Jets have potential. So much of their projected success revolves around Adam Gase’s ability to develop Sam Darnold, however, which is why they haven’t had much projected success, or real success, for that matter.

That said, while Gase is a hinderance to development, the draft department doesn’t have to follow suit. The Jets can help out Sam Darnold by giving him a new speed option to work with in the 2020 NFL Draft, and at pick No. 11, Alabama’s Henry Ruggs III gives them more than they bargained for.

Ruggs is a dynamic threat who can take the ball to the house on any play. Whether it’s a go-route or a crosser, Ruggs has the instant gear-up ability and the long speed to outlast just about every defender he comes across. He also has traits as a route runner and in contested catch situations that suggest he could flourish with higher volume. For the Jets, who don’ t seem keen on bringing back Robby Anderson, this selection is an easy one.
