2. Los Angeles Chargers (No. 6 pick)

The Chargers are facing some uncertainty at the quarterback position. If they have eyes for one of the top prospects, they could want to move up in the draft.

At the moment, it’s unclear what the future looks like for Philip Rivers. The long-time member of the Chargers is coming off an up-and-down season and it sounds like the team may be ready to move on from him. If they do, they would be best served drafting a quarterback in the 2020 class, as it is both strong and deep at the top.

That said, the Chargers still need to take into account the fact that they are holding onto the No. 6 pick. And while there are only two teams in front of them that look likely to take a quarterback, the possibility that another squad could leapfrog them might make them nervous. So, they’d have to be ready to make a move if it came down to it.

Additionally, if the Chargers are sold on one of the top quarterback prospects and value them above all else, it may behoove them to move up to ensure that they are able to get him. And that could lead them to offer the Redskins quite a bit if they’re looking to guarantee they get to select one of their guys.

That doesn’t mean that the Redskins will be open to trading the pick. But expect the Chargers to be among the teams that come calling if they’re looking to move up. Having the No. 6 pick would help them at least put together an enticing package.
