1. Redskins must have another big game out of Dwayne Haskins

Dwayne Haskins saw the field for the first time against the Giants in Week 4 in relief duty and had a tough outing. He threw three interceptions on just 17 attempts as he looked overwhelmed. That was not the case against the Eagles last week as Haskins undoubtedly had the best game of his young career.

On the day, Haskins was 19 of 28 for 261 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Haskins didn’t take a sack (the last play not counting) as he routinely got the ball of out his hands quickly and accurately. He got through his progressions much faster than he had in weeks prior and made big throw after big throw as he matched the Eagles score for score in a back and forth game.

That breakout game was what Haskins needed, and he could be in for another big one. The Giants’ pass defense is among the worst in the league, giving up almost 262 yards per game, right where Haskins was last week. Another step in Haskins’ development will now be stringing together consecutive good games.  If Haskins can have a game similar to the one against Philly and match that stat line again, he will put the Redskins in an excellent position to win this game.
