No. 4 – Montez Sweat gets two sacks

You might remember that I predicted this for the Panthers game two weeks ago. It feels kind of like cheating to predict this again, but it aligns with Montez Sweat’s 2019 season thus far.

Sweat, a first-round pick for the Redskins back in April, has played about as you’d expect a rookie to play this season. He’s shown bright flashes, such as his 1.5-sack outing against the Panthers, but he’s also been inconsistent, as evidenced by his disappearing act in Week 14 against the Packers.

Sweat’s back-and-forth cycle suggests that he’ll have a chance to rebound this week, and with Eagles right tackle Lane Taylor serving as a non-participant in practice, there’s a chance Sweat could go up against a backup right tackle. Halapoulivaati Vaitai is a solid reserve tackle, but Sweat’s traits will give him an edge he wouldn’t have against Johnson.
