Score Prediction

This game could end up being closer than many expect. The Eagles may have motivation on their side in this one, as they’ll win the NFC East if they win out, but the Redskins could be hoping to knock off one of their divisional rivals and give Dwayne Haskins the biggest win of his rookie season.

From a coaching standpoint, Doug Pederson and the Eagles staff hold the edge over Redskins interim head coach Bill Callahan and company. But Pederson’s squad has lost some luster since the team’s Super Bowl title, and it’s clear that the departure of Frank Reich has impacted them.

The Eagles prone to slow starts, as the Redskins saw in Week 1, so there could be a chance for Washington to jump out to a lead. And with the injuries the Eagles are dealing with on offense, the Redskins could hold them at bay for most of the game. It happened against the Giants, so why can’t it happen against the Redskins?

I’m not sure the ‘Skins will be able to pull out a win, solely because the team’s offense has also been a slow-starting unit. But they should have a strong game and put forth a solid effort. If they can keep this close until the end, ‘Skins fans should be happy, as it will mean the young, inexperienced team is continuing to grow.
