Stud No. 2 – Redskins OLB Ryan Anderson

The Redskins edge rushing core is fairly young, outside of Ryan Kerrigan. Last week, Nate Orchard and Chris Odom stole the show, and Montez Sweat also showed immense promise with 1.5 sacks. This week, they were all quiet, and former second-round pick Ryan Anderson had his turn at triumph.

The Redskins had four sacks total on Sunday, and although Anderson only had one, just like everyone else, his was particularly pivotal, as it was a strip sack which he recovered, in order to give the Redskins back the football.

In a game where both teams were relatively devoid of momentum shift capacity, Anderson helped move the needle for the Redskins. It was just Anderson’s second sack of the season, but it came in a big spot, and reinforced his standing as a solid reserve rusher.
