Redskins vs. Panthers preview: Matchups to watch, score prediction, more

Score prediction

All told, this game doesn’t look like one that the Redskins will win. Most factors of this game simply favor the Panthers.

The Redskins are coming off a win over the Lions while the Panthers are coming off a crushing loss to the Saints. Ron Rivera should have the Panthers motivated to win once again and keep their hopes of making the postseason alive.

And speaking of Rivera, he is a better coach than Bill Callahan at this point in time. Rivera may have lost a bit of his luster because of the Panthers’ middle-of-the-road performance this season, but he is still a good coach who knows how to be aggressive to help his team win. And that could pay off in Washington.

I think the Panthers will win this one in front of their home crowd as the Redskins endure some more growing pains. This one may not be particularly close, but perhaps if the team’s young talent improves, there will be some positives in this game.
