The latest Redskins reality checks are focused on the defense and embattled coordinator Greg Manusky.

This week at the circus formerly known as Redskins Park, embattled defensive coordinator Greg Manusky threw his entire defensive unit under the bus.

Manusky insinuated that the coaching staff had put the players in position to make plays, but the players were simply failing to do so.

Redskins’ beat reporter Craig Hoffman tweeted the following after Manusky’s weekly press conference:

This is a shocking response to a question asked about why Josh Norman hasn’t been playing better this year. And it’s even more shocking for him to have extended beyond just Norman to players “across the board”. And it’s even more shocking coming from a defensive coordinator whose track record doesn’t really justify shifting the blame to anyone else.

And despite all this shockingness (is that a word?), it’s at the same time, par for the course from an organization that just can’t seem to get out of their own way.

So, given that cringe-worthy start, here are some reality checks for Week 12 of this painful Redskins season.
