Redskins full NFL first-round mock: Is Chase Young the one?
By Ian Cummings
Guys, I’ve got goose bumps.
Pairing TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor with Michael Thomas is a very exciting proposition. While Thomas is the contested catch demigod who wins with nuance, toughness, and an alpha mentality, Reagor is the dynamic athlete who wins with his explosiveness, elusiveness, and superior physical traits.
With Ted Ginn Jr. getting up there in age, the Saints could stand to invest another first-rounder in their wide receiving core, and Jalen Reagor offers immense upside for Sean Payton’s attack. Reagor has the long speed to supplant Ginn Jr. in his deep threat role, and he also has the short-range elusiveness and change-of-direction skills to be a home run threat even near the line of scrimmage.
Reagor is on the small side at 5-foot-11, 195, and his wingspan isn’t ideal for inevitable contested situations in the NFL. But Reagor’s raw athleticism alone sets him apart as it is. Once he adds more definition to his game, he might be unstoppable.
