Running Back. Kansas City Chiefs. D'Andre Swift. 24. player. 124.

I’ll admit, it doesn’t seem like the Kansas City Chiefs to pick a running back in Round 1 after they’ve made things work with Damien Williams and LeSean McCoy this season. But envisioning D’Andre Swift in Andy Reid’s offense is too fun to pass up in a hypothetical exercise.

Explosiveness is the name of Swift’s game. Both laterally and vertically, Swift possesses the ability to create searing momentum in a mere Planck time. He knows how to use his traits to maximize runs, and he has the vision to navigate lanes with ease, and manipulate spacing.

Swift doesn’t quite have the straight line speed that Clemson’s Travis Etienne possesses, but Swift doesn’t need it. His amalgamation of traits is at the top of his class, and in Kansas City’s offense, the word “excel” doesn’t do justice what he might accomplish.
