Dud No. 1 – The weather

I debated designating the weather as a stud instead, because if we’re being honest, it was pretty awesome, and the weather ultimately won the day, stamping an unforgettable imprint on the game.

The rain came down in droves long before the start of the game, and it didn’t let up once the game was underway. By the end, there was so much water on the field that players were sliding after catches and runs, and each tackle was accompanied by a splash.

The wind was also a factor, and combined with the rain, it made life hard, not just on the quarterbacks, but on the play callers themselves. The weather normally isn’t bad enough to re-route a team’s game plan entirely. But it was bad enough on Sunday in D.C.
