No. 1 – Redskins WR Terry McLaurin

I will start this slide with a series of room-temperature takes. Terry McLaurin is the Redskins best receiver. Terry McLaurin has WR1 upside in his first season. Terry McLaurin is always a player to watch.

The rookie from Ohio State made waves in Week 1 after catching five balls for 125 yards and a touchdown. His 4.35 speed is a difference maker, but against the Eagles cornerbacks, he also won with toughness and focus at the catch point, and subtle route nuance to create separation.

McLaurin is a complete wide receiver, and in a situation where there’s no go-to guy, McLaurin could be starting to emerge in that role. Against the Cowboys, he’ll likely be a featured offensive weapon again, as Dallas now has Kellen Moore to keep them ahead at offensive coordinator. The Cowboys offense looked electric in Week 1, and it’ll take plenty of work from McLaurin to keep the Redskins in the game.
