Score prediction

The Redskins have yet to win in the 2019 NFL preseason. Obviously, it’s preseason, so it doesn’t matter. But still, notching a W would be nice.

That said, it’s hard to imagine that coming against the Falcons. Unless the Redskins can make a second-half push when Matt Schaub, Matt Simms, and (maybe) Danny Etling are at quarterback, the team is going to have trouble. The Falcons’ top offensive unit is just that good.

Additionally, the Redskins’ troubles on special teams won’t make this any easier. They are really missing Ben Kotwica’s coaching, which is ironic because he is now the special teams coordinator for the Falcons. If they give up another long return or touchdown, the team is going to be in tough shape.

If the Redskins are going to win a preseason game, it’s going to have to come in the finale. For now, I just can’t see them outdoing a solid all-around Falcons squad.
