Redskins: Riggo’s Rag Podcast – Top five breakout players, plus more
By Ian Cummings
Who doesn’t love a good top five list?
Top five lists can be about literally anything, with literally any kind of context? Top five movies? A boring, but easy choice. Top five mid-sized paper supply firms in the Scranton-Wilkes Barre area? Your number one choice should be obvious, but after that, you can mix it up.
Top five lists are versatile, and they’re especially built for the NFL offseason, when speculation, deductive reasoning, and unmitigated hype all coalesce into quantifications of thought. Where pundits stake their names on the next up-and-coming rookie, and where fans froth over their favorite sleepers.
We like to think we’re above the excitement, but not today.
There are many ways to bide the time during the NFL offseason, and today, the Riggo’s Rag Roundtable sat down to accomplish that feat by going through a number of top five lists, centered around the Washington Redskins in 2019. Riggo’s Rag contributors Nathan Britton and Kyle Hundley joined the crew to talk about their favorite Redskins players, their favorite breakout candidates in 2019, and their top five players who might consider 2019 as their last chance.
There were some repeat names in the mix, but overall, a nice variety was struck across the group. Some names might be surprises to you. Others might not (Hint: TreyQuinnSzn).
