The personalities on defense

The Redskins defense is full of guys that could end up being great characters and interviews for TV. These guys could be a perfect pairing with what figures to be an intriguing quarterback plotline.

Josh NormanOn paper, the idea of having Norman on TV is a fun one. Norman is a guy who isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Both on the field and off the field, Norman is always himself. He will certainly produce some quality soundbites and may provide some entertaining highlights on the field as well.

Jonathan AllenA young, emerging leader on the defense, Allen could be en route to becoming the next defensive star at the NFL level. He quietly put up eight sacks last year and could end up becoming a captain on defense. If he can show his leadership and poise, chances are the cameras will be interested in picking up some shots of him.

More from Commanders News

Dominique Rodgers-CromartieDRC went from one Gruden brother to the other this offseason, but he only played half of last season before retiring. Can he make the team coming out of retirement on a team that is stacked with interesting young options at corner? That will be a storyline to watch for sure.

Landon CollinsA big-ticket free agent acquisition, can Collins live up to his price-tag and fill one of the biggest holes that has plagued the Redskins over the course of the past decade? We’ll soon find out.

The “Hard Knocks” team could roll with any of these storylines or just pick a couple and try to string something together. There are certainly enough guys with personalities, backstories, and expectations, so it’s possible that the offense/defense balance could be a plus for the ‘Skins.
