No NFL team wants to be on “Hard Knocks,” but one team has to be every year. This year, the Washington Redskins are among the candidates, and they may be the best fit for the show.

While “Hard Knocks” is a show that many NFL fans enjoy, teams generally don’t enjoy being on it. There’s nothing worse than trying to get your job done and being surrounding by cameras that capture everything that’s going on. That, plus the obligation to talk to the crews, is why NFL teams generally don’t volunteer for the program.

Because of this, the NFL has a set of rules in place that force certain teams to go on the show each year. This year, the Redskins are one of the five teams that are eligible for the program. And frankly speaking, they seem like a good fit for the program.

Reality TV is fueled by drama. As Redskins fans know, there is plenty of that to go around, but beyond that, there are a lot of other storylines surrounding the ‘Skins that could captivate audiences. The “Hard Knocks” team may look at the team and see all of these come together into one, perfect-looking program.

This doesn’t mean that Washington will be on “Hard Knocks,” but if there ever was a year for them to be chosen, this would be the one. Here’s a look at why the Redskins are such a good fit for the show this year.
