“The league done messed up,” Haskins said, when asked to respond to his draft slide to No. 15.
As a Redskins fan, I’m thrilled with the opportunity to watch Daniel Jones and Dwayne Haskins duel twice a year. And I think time will make us all grateful to Gettleman for letting that happen. And while we’re at it, if you haven’t seen the exclusive interview with the Giants general manager justifying his decision, be sure to check it out. It may be the best few minutes of your day.

For decades, the Redskins have had quarterbacks like Jeff George, Patrick Ramsey, Jason Campbell and SO MANY others that just gave you the feeling they were going to lose. Anyone remember the year we trotted out Rex Grossman and John Beck? Ugh…

There are some quarterbacks that have the attitude to win. They just make you believe everything’s going to be okay! They stay positive and to cause others to believe in their team and in themselves. Haskins has that. It’s the stuff that transforms the mind from a loser mentality to one of a winner. He’ll make his teammates believe that they’re going to win.
