13. . Defensive Tackle. Clemson. Dexter Lawrence. 28. player

Brandon Mebane was missed when he was out last year. Darius Philon left the Chargers in free agency. They need a new big-bodied run stuffer for their defense.

Enter Dexter Lawrence. Lawrence, the third Clemson defensive lineman to go in the first round, has a massive 6-4, 340-pound frame and should be an elite run stopper at the next level. Lawrence also has been a solid pass rusher in the past, as he generated 10 sacks in his three years at Clemson. Playing with Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa, he may have a chance to find some lanes and get some sacks.

Lawrence would do a lot to shore up the Chargers’ weakness in the middle of their defense. He could end up going higher than this, and it doesn’t seem that he will make it out of the first round.

Other Chargers Draft Options

CB Greedy Williams, LSU. The Chargers could use a corner across from Casey Hayward. Williams could give them a top-notch secondary.

OT Greg Little, Ole Miss. The Chargers need help at right tackle, so if they like Little enough, he could come off the board here.
