13. player. 59. . Offensive Tackle. Florida. Jawaan Taylor

The Dolphins could opt for a quarterback here if they like Dwayne Haskins or Daniel Jones enough, but they have long been rumored to target a top passer in the 2020 NFL Draft. So, they will probably build in the trenches on either side of the ball.

After losing Ja’Wuan James in free agency, the Dolphins have a massive hole on the right side of the line. If they truly plan on drafting Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert next year, they better make sure they fix their offensive line. And at this point in the draft, they have the options needed to do that.

Jawaan Taylor would replace the former Ja’Wuan starting at right tackle, and he should be a good fit. Taylor has one of the best combinations of length, strength, and footwork in this class, so he should find a role in the NFL. He could emerge as this class’ best tackle, and he may give the Dolphins an opportunity to move Laremy Tunsil to another position as well. Tunsil has been fine at left tackle, but if Taylor is better, Tunsil could help to upgrade another position on the offensive line.

Other Dolphins Draft Options

DL Rashan Gary, Michigan. Brian Flores may like Gary’s versatility and be willing to take a chance on him with his rebuilding Dolphins squad.

EDGE Clelin Ferrell, Clemson. The Dolphins are rumored to like Clelin Ferrell and if they trade down, they could target him.

EDGE Brian Burns, Florida State. Burns represents the most athletic edge rusher on the board and will be considered. However, his deficiencies against the run will knock him down a rung compared to Gary and Ferrell.
