55. . Linebacker. Michigan. Devin Bush. 20. player

Jacob: This is probably Devin Bush’s floor. I think he could go closer to the top-10, but it’s hard to imagine the Steelers passing on him here.

In their heyday, the Steelers had excellent linebackers that did a lot to hold their defense together. In recent years, that has been lacking. Ryan Shazier was supposed to be the next great linebacker for the Steelers, but his terrifying spine injury has effectively ended his career. The team needs to find a replacement for him, and Bush could work well.

Bush is a little undersized at the linebacker position (5-11), but he carries his 234 pounds well. In fact, in many ways, he is similar to Shazier. He is a fast, sideline to sideline player with excellent athletic ability. He should be a three-down player at the next level and his coverage ability should make him a good starter.

Bush would immediately start for the Steelers, and he would give the team one three-down linebacker. Vince Williams, Jon Bostic, and the newly-signed Mark Barron could rotate in at the other position depending on the situation (Williams, Bostic vs. the run, Barron in coverage).

If the Steelers don’t go with Bush here, Greedy Williams could garner some consideration at the cornerback position. But Bush is the better all-around fit for the team, so we’ll go with him here.
