42. . Defensive End. Ohio State. Nick Bosa. 2. player

Told you.

The San Francisco 49ers are in a very good spot this year. With only two prospects in the running for the No. 1 overall pick, one is guaranteed to be available at pick No. 2, so that the 49ers can scoop up the spoils.

If the Cardinals pick Bosa, the 49ers will get to bolster their interior defensive line by putting Quinnen Williams next to All-Pro defensive tackle DeForest Buckner. But if the Cardinals pick Williams, the 49ers will get to add an elite edge presence, something they’ve lacked for some time.

Nick Bosa isn’t the No. 1 pick in this mock NFL Draft, but he’s about as good a consolation prize as the 49ers can get. The second football brother of the esteemed Bosa family is a well-rounded prospect with a stellar understanding and utilization of what it takes to win on the defensive line. Compounding solid physical traits with excellent I.Q. and technical prowess, Bosa should be a productive NFL starter for a long time.
