Matt LaFleur will have a leg up on most of the new coaches in the NFL, for one reason and one reason only: Aaron Rodgers.

The precise passer gives LaFleur a talented, established quarterback to work with while he implements his new offense, but the job isn’t finished with the marriage of the two. Brian Gutenkunst has to work to give Rodgers a supporting cast he can trust, through free agency and the NFL Draft.

Well, like a good neighbor, Oklahoma tackle Cody Ford is there.

Ford played right tackle in college, and he was elite at that position, with an excellent blend of athleticism, functional strength, and precise, potent hand technique. But if the Packers chose to do so, they could move him inside, where he’d be a competent starter at guard, something the Packers need, in order to give their offense time to develop.
