31. player. 51. . Defensive Lineman. Ohio State. Dre'Mont Jones

Ndamukong Suh is going to be a free agent after this season. He was solid for the Rams, but he may price himself out of what they’re willing to pay for him. As a result, the team may end up looking for a replacement in the draft.

Dre’Mont Jones would be a good one. The Ohio State defensive lineman had a very good year and really improved as a pass rusher during his junior campaign. He notched 8.5 sacks despite playing on the interior and being, arguably, the best Ohio State defensive player once Nick Bosa announced he wouldn’t play again.

For the next level, Jones looks like a solid five-technique in a 3-4 defense. That’s exactly what the Rams run. By adding Jones and plugging him next to Aaron Donald, the Rams would ensure that they have one of the scariest interior pass rushes in the NFL. Given the importance of collapsing the pocket from the middle, this seems like a terrific fit.

If the Rams want to go in a different direction, Brian Burns of Florida State would make sense, as he would be more of an edge rusher option. However, Jones is the better pick for now.
