Washington Redskins 2018 season cornerback grades

Incomplete Grades
Two full-time Redskins and two late-season depth signings make up the Redskins incomplete grades at the cornerback position, with the most notable being second-year defensive back Joshua Holsey.
Holsey was slated to have an increased role in 2018, but he suffered a serious toe injury in the offseason and was sidelined for most of the season. When he did come back, he only played in one game, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, before he was placed on injured reserve once again.
Adonis Alexander, the Redskins sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Supplemental Draft, didn’t get much playing time either. He did log snaps in seven games, but he only accrued 11 total snaps on defense, and just over 100 on special teams. It’s a good resume for a player who wasn’t even a lock to last past August, but it’s not enough to earn a grade.
In the late-season signing category sits Alex Carter and Harlan Miller. Both cornerbacks joined the Redskins as depth signings when other players were forced off the roster due to injury.
