Washington Redskins 2018 season running back grades

Kapri Bibbs
Kapri Bibbs didn’t get a fair shake with the Redskins in 2018.
Looking back, it’s easy to say it. But Bibbs wasn’t initially considered one of the Redskins premier running backs. He was signed as a roster filler late last season and flashed enough to stick around, and when given the opportunity again this year, he shined.
In his time with the Redskins in 2018, Bibbs averaged one touchdown per every 8.25 touches. Todd Gurley, the running back with the most total touchdowns in the NFL this year, scored one touchdown per every 15 touches.
This isn’t to say that Bibbs is on par with Gurley as a player; this is merely to represent how efficient Bibbs was when given the opportunity. He was perhaps the Redskins’ best change-of-pace back this season, but his time in D.C. came to an unexpected and unforgiving end, when he was waived, and claimed off of waivers by the Green Bay Packers.
The Redskins reportedly intended to place him on their practice squad, hoping he’d pass through waivers unclaimed. They should have known better.
Bibbs only logged 33 touches in 2018. But judging by his performance in a limited sample size, he should’ve logged more.
