No. 1 – SS D.J. Swearinger

In dire situations such as their current one, the Washington Redskins need their playmakers to step up and deliver game-changing performances. After his breakout 2018 season, D.J. Swearinger deserves to be recognized as what he is: A playmaker.

Swearinger produced in every way possible in 2018, logging four interceptions, ten pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and a sack. All four of Swearinger’s interceptions came in the first half of the season, and he hasn’t made a play on the ball in three weeks. But despite that, through the ups and downs of the season, Swearinger has been at his best when he’s needed.

The Redskins need Swearinger this week.

And on Saturday, we’ll see if he can succeed, fueled by a Pro Bowl snub.
