Score prediction

The Redskins just won a road game with their fourth-string quarterback, but let’s not fool ourselves. The team is going to have a tough time winning in Tennessee, and they will need to play much better than they did against Jacksonville to notch a win.

The Titans have the advantage on one side of the ball and could end up outplaying the Redskins defense. That defense, which was great last week in Jacksonville, needs to bring the same energy and tenacity that they did against the Jaguars. If they don’t — or if they let Mariota scramble like crazy against them — it could be a long day.

I do expect this to be a close game. This doesn’t seem like a contest in which the Redskins will get blown out. However, I also think that they won’t quite be able to come home with the win. The Titans are just a better and more well-rounded team.

I could end up being wrong, but for now, I would favor Tennessee in this clash by a nose.
