Redskins vs. Giants, part two: Five bold predictions for crucial game

No. 3 – A defensive lineman plays a snap on the offensive line at some point
It’s only natural that, in a Redskins prediction article, we follow up a good injury prediction with a very, very, very bad one.
You thought the Washington Redskins offensive line was thin after losing Brandon Scherff and Shawn Lauvao? Well, with Jonathan Cooper and Tony Bergstrom now out with injuries as well, the Redskins have been forced to consider drastic lineup changes in the blocking unit up front.
Per Kareem Copeland of the Washington Post, in Friday’s practice, the Redskins toyed around, perhaps unwillingly, with different combinations on the offensive line. At one point, Zac Kerin and Luke Bowanko were the starting guards. At another point, both of the Redskins backup tackles, Ty Nsekhe and Austin Howard, lined up on the interior. Yes, the backup tackles.
It’s safe to say the Redskins are in a bit of a bind. Copland added that he has “no idea who will start with Trent Williams, Chase Roullier, and Morgan Moses”. With both tackle backups in danger of playing at guard, when considering the rate at which Redskins offensive linemen have been injured this season, it’s not all too brash to say we might see Tim Settle out there at one point.
But don’t worry. It’s just a bold prediction. Right?
Right??
