Redskins Week 13 Reality Checks: Team faces tough, winnable game
By Tim Payne
No. 2 – Reality Is, Colt McCoy needs to stay aggressive.
Coming off a three-interception game, it would be natural for Colt McCoy to be a bit hesitant or gun-shy in this game. But the Redskins can’t afford for him to be conservative. The offense needs a spark, and his mentality must be that of a playmaker.
If the Redskins are going to make a successful playoff push, they are going to need McCoy to be more than a game manager. He has to avoid any more games with three-plus turnovers, but he can’t go into a shell and play scared.
Prediction: Colt McCoy will torch Philadelphia’s depleted secondary, but will also get burned by a couple bad decisions. Final line: 23 for 33, 298 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interceptions, 1 fumble, 5 carries for 40 yards.
