No. 2 – WR Josh Doctson

With a new quarterback in tow, who’s set to take more chances downfield than Alex Smith did, Josh Doctson will need to be ready for his new opportunities. They were always a possibility with Smith. Now, they are bound to happen.

When Doctson, formerly a first-round pick, has gotten opportunities this season, he has made them count, more or less. He’s catching a career high 56.5 percent of his targets, and while his current numbers don’t pop off the page, he’s been reliable in clutch situations, especially when the Redskins need a first down.

Of course, with McCoy’s utilization of Doctson, that may change. And Doctson must be ready for whatever kind of ball comes his way. Against a Cowboys team that has started to find its offensive footing, Doctson could be relied upon down the stretch on Thursday, and with the team’s lack of playmakers, the TCU product has a good chance to step into the spotlight.
