Score prediction

I really don’t see this being a high-scoring affair. Both teams are probably tired coming off key Week 11 games, so playing on a short week, the offenses may not be able to do much against each side’s stout respective front.

In terms of coaching, I’d say the edge belongs to the Redskins. Had Jason Garrett not beaten the hapless Eagles a couple of weeks ago, he may have been axed. Or at the very least, his seat would be burning hot. Meanwhile, Gruden’s seat may get warm if the team can’t improve on offense, but he’s still on more solid footing and frankly, I would say he has the better offensive mind by a good margin.

I think this game will come down to the final play, and possibly the final minutes of the fourth quarter. McCoy and the Redskins offense will struggle to get going early but then will have a chance to go on a game-winning drive. Will they convert? I think yes.

Imagine this: a late-game Colt McCoy game-winning drive that’s capped off by Gruden getting aggressive and going to two to beat the Cowboys on the road on Thanksgiving. That’s what I’m going to go with as my prediction this week in a low-scoring affair.
