No. 2 – Redskins must limit DeAndre Hopkins

DeAndre Hopkins has been tearing defenses apart the entire season, as he has almost 900 yards in just nine games. On top of all those yards, he has been finding the endzone frequently, as he has scored a touchdown in six of the Texans’ nine games, including the last four, to put him at seven for the season. The Redskins’ secondary cannot allow Hopkins to leave his print on this game and must keep him out of the endzone.

The Texans love to throw screen passes and get Hopkins the ball quickly, so a lot of this will be on Josh Norman this week to limit what he does after the catch. Norman had an excellent game last week, helping limit the explosive Mike Evans to just three catches for 51 yards. He must have another big game, and be ready when balls come his way again.

Last game, Ryan Fitzpatrick was often found going after rookies Greg Stroman and Danny Johnson, hoping to take advantage of their inexperience. They both must be ready if they find themselves lined up against Hopkins, as Quinton Dunbar is questionable to play this week as he continues to battle a shin injury. If the secondary can limit DeAndre Hopkins’ production, they will make it much tougher for Deshaun Watson to beat them by taking his main weapon away.
