Redskins Reality Checks Week 8: Giants provide different kind of check

2.     Reality Is, Giants’ players and coaches aren’t tanking.

When asked about the Giants’ season so far and the two trades this week, here’s what Trent Williams had to say:

Redskins fans who think the Giants players and coaches are going to just lay down this week because the front office traded away a couple defensive players for picks just don’t understand professional football. With how B.J. Hill has played in the middle and B.W. Webb has played at corner, the Giants defense very well may see no signification drop-off from those trades.

I expect the Giants to play their best game of the season defensively. I expect there to be a “circle the wagons” mentality on that sideline and I expect the Redskins to have to outplay them in all three phases if they want to get this win.

Prediction: This will not be a game in which the Redskins ever have more than a 10 point lead.
