Week 7 – Redskins vs. Cowboys

At this point, the Redskins will be in a bit of a post-bye week funk. It happens sometimes. But the team’s Week 7 matchup against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys will be a good opportunity to rebound and reclaim some momentum.

The Cowboys have some talent; the defense is surprisingly solid, courtesy of good play from contributors such as Byron Jones, Jaylon Smith, and Demarcus Lawrence. First-round rookie Leighton Vander Esch has also impressed, showing off quick development.

That said, while the Cowboys defense has exuded competence, the offense has been rather inconsistent. Last week, they found their footing against a Lions squad in turmoil, and for the three games before that, the passing offense was utterly anemic. Against the Redskins’ emerging secondary, Prescott won’t have much success. The Redskins, meanwhile, will get back to .500.

Final Score: WAS 24, DAL 16

Record: 3-3
