3. Reality is, the WRs need to step up this week.

I said I hoped those three (plus Mo Harris or Brian Quick, whoever gets snaps) combine for 12 catches, 125 yards, and a TD. I would be frustrated with another eight catch, 65-yard performance.

Pre-Game Prediction: More of the same. I expect to be frustrated with the WR production.

Reality Check: The receivers were almost totally ineffective in the first half, and apart from a few catches in the second half, basically did nothing to change our feelings about their prospects moving forward.  Doctson almost made a miraculous TD catch…stop me if you’ve heard that before. The unit totaled 10 receptions, 108 yards, and 0 TDs…. color me frustrated.

4. Reality is, if Chris ThompsonJordan Reed, and Adrian Peterson play like last week, it’s going to be really hard for the Redskins to lose.

I said I would be thrilled to see 35-plus touches for 260 yards and two touchdowns from this trio. I also said I would be disappointed if AP, in particular, crashed back to earth and they end up with 25-30 touches for under 200 yards and only one score.

Pre-Game Prediction: The three amigos ride again this week, totaling 48 touches for 350 yards and three TDs.

Reality Check: Apparently, I was in fantasy-land on this one.  I really didn’t think our offensive line was going to be dominated so badly, leading to a complete debacle offensively.  While these three combined for 198 yards, it took 37 touches to get there, and no unbiased analysis of this game would take any encouragement from anything the offensive unit did on Sunday. This was vintage “John-Beck-to-Roy-Helu” offensive production. I am beyond disappointed on this front.
