No. 1 – Chris Thompson scores two touchdowns

Last week confirmed what Redskins fans and only Redskins fans had been saying all offseason: Chris Thompson is a mismatch, and he’s a very valuable weapon for Alex Smith.

In Week 1, Thompson logged over 100 yards from scrimmage and a receiving touchdown, showcasing his quickness after the catch and his vision on zone runs. Thompson isn’t a workhorse; we all know that. But the value he provides as a spark plug and a borderline elite playmaker is tremendous.

Against a Colts’ front seven that is young and inexperienced, Thompson should be able to replicate the success he had against Arizona. With a similar game plan, the Redskins will use Thompson often, and Alex Smith will go to him plenty of times.

When the smoke clears, Thompson will have two touchdowns: One on the ground, and one through the air. It’s bold, but it just might happen.
