Postgame Redskins Reality Checks for Week 1 at Arizona
By Tim Payne
It’s officially overreaction season. It’s time to check in on our Redskins Reality Checks from Sunday’s 24-6 win over Arizona.
Historically, the first two days after a Washington Redskins win, most fans live in total euphoria, dreaming of playoffs and Super Bowls. And the first two days after a Redskins loss, it feels just a little harder to get out of bed.
Well, in an attempt to prepare all of us for our own emotions with a more measured reaction, I’ve started this series of Reality Checks for the Redskins this season. Each week, I’ll write up some objective expectations and anticipations before the game, and then on Monday and Tuesday, I’ll review.
Last week, I wrote about 6 Redskins Reality Checks I would be looking out for during the Week 1 tilt in the desert against the fighting Larry Fitzgeralds. As promised, it’s now time to review those reality checks and, hopefully, objectively decide how the Redskins did this weekend.
