No. 2 – OL Tyler Biadasz – Wisconsin

The hole at left guard has haunted the Redskins for years. They have their starters for the foreseeable future at every other position along the front, but the left guard spot has hindered the unit as a whole.

If the Redskins are in a position where they can afford to take an interior offensive lineman in the first round, then they should do it. Left guard is the weakest position on the roster and Wisconsin’s Tyler Biadasz is a perfect fit. He’d immediately boost the Redskins front into one of the league’s elite. They’d have youth and strength along the interior, along with two bookend tackles. Both the run and pass offense would benefit, and the team would finally complete the Hogs 2.0.

I don’t expect the Redskins to take an interior offensive lineman in the first round unless they’re coming off a good season and don’t see any other glaring needs on the roster. With that being said, I also didn’t expect them to pass up on Vic Beasley and Leonard Williams for Brandon Scherff, and that turned out quite nicely. While Beasley and Williams both became good players, I wouldn’t  trade the consistency Scherff has brought for either. Biadasz is a great player, and would give the Redskins their most talented offensive line in the past 25 years.
