CB Prince Charles Iworah

Iworah was never going to make the active roster, but he played very well in the preseason after being acquired late in the offseason.

Iworah had a great interception during the preseason that saw him play perfect coverage on the opposing receiver. He ran virtually step for step with him and made a good play on the ball. That helped to establish himself as a back-end roster candidate, but realistically, he was never going to make the 53-man roster.

That said, keeping Iworah on the practice squad makes a lot of sense. He has been in the NFL for a few years and he showed strides shortly after joining the team. With a young corner group, keeping a guy like Iworah on the practice squad would be a smart move, as he could be added to the active roster as a depth guy if the team decides they need to add more experience.

It will be interesting to see if Iworah returns, but it seems likely. He flashed enough to earn a spot on the practice squad, and while a cut was expected, keeping him with the organization seems like a strong possibility at this point.
