OT Timon Parris

The Redskins cut many of their offensive linemen on Saturday, and they’re going to need to stash at least one or two on the practice squad. Parris seems like a good fit for one of those roles because of his potential and upside.

Parris didn’t do much in the preseason, but the Stony Brook product has an NFL sized frame (6-foot-5, 312 pounds) and with some development, he could turn into a quality backup tackle.

Parris could be stored on the practice squad for a year to see if he can continue to improve. If he can, then he could be added to roster for the 2019 season, especially if Ty Nsekhe ends up leaving the team and Geron Christian takes over in the backup role.

Either way, Bill Callahan will probably like to keep a guy like Parris around. He may need to develop, but he was a good player in college. So, why not give him a chance?

It’s always possible that the Redskins elect to keep some other players on their practice squad or target players from other teams. But for now, these 10 guys seem like their best internal options and they could end up playing roles with the team if they are pressed into action.
