Rush Linebacker (4)

Keeping: Ryan Kerrigan, Preston Smith, Ryan Anderson, Pernell McPhee

Notable Cuts: Pete Robertson, Vontae Diggs

There are no surprises here though I will note that Robertson is probably my 54th man. Robertson had a sack in the preseason finale and demonstrated good athleticism in camp. He has great special teams ability and could have a chance to make the roster. At the very least, he’ll be a practice squader.

Hot. Redskins show poor fundamentals is loss to Ravens. light

At the top of the depth chart, Kerrigan and Smith are one of the most underrated edge rusher duo in the league and they could put up monster numbers this year. Anderson looked good in the last preseason game and though he’s still a work in progress, he wasn’t pushed for a roster spot this preseason.

McPhee’s spot on the roster also seems like a lock. He will be a solid run-stuffer and should be able to use strength-based moves to get into the backfield for some sacks. This four-man crew may not be deep, but they have the chance to be a solid rotation if all works out.
