Week 5 – Washington Redskins at New Orleans Saints

Coming off a bye week in Week 4, the Redskins will be heading to New Orleans to take on the Saints in Week 5. The bye will bode well for the Redskins, as they’ll learn what to fix after the Green Bay game.

However, going into New Orleans will be a tall task. The Saints have a pretty easy schedule up till they play Washington. They very well could be 4-0 or 3-1 heading into this game. Not to mention that no team ever wants to face Drew Brees at home in the dome.

The Saints are well-balanced. Their offense speaks for itself. Alvin Kamara has emerged as one of the most electric young running backs in the game. Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn, and new acquired Cameron Meredith, will be tough to matchup against as well.

Their defense has slowly improved over the years. Cameron Jordan and Marshon Lattimore have this young defense trending in the right direction. Drafting defensive end Marcus Davenport continues to support the cause. The Saints defense will give the Redskins more problems than anticipated.

The Redskins offense will have to work the middle of the field. This is the weakest area in the Saints defense. Utilizing Jamison Crowder and Jordan Reed is a must in this game. They will be difficult mismatches for the Saints defense to account for.

In the end, Sean Peyton will be able to come up with the proper schemes to pick apart the Redskins. I do expect this to be another high scoring game, but the Saints will dominate in the fourth quarter and seal the deal.

Final Score: WAS 24, NO 34

Record: 2-2
