OLB Ryan Kerrigan

In my humble opinion, Ryan Kerrigan is the best defensive player the Redskins have had since Sean Taylor. He plays every game of every season, he consistently proves he can not only rush that passer at an elite level, but also set a dominant edge in the run game. He has a nose for the football, and even has some history finding the end zone. Kerrigan is as consistent as they come and you can always bet he’ll give you at least eight sacks year in and year out.

With the return or Jonathan Allen and Matt Ioannidis, along with the arrival of Daron Payne, Kerrigan finally has a defensive line he can benefit from. Throughout his career, Kerrigan has never had a front seven that could consistently apply pressure from the interior, leaving him on an island.

This year should be different. Finally, we can see an unleashed Ryan Kerrigan, and I expect it to be a thing of beauty. Kerrigan will have his best season to date, finishing top three in the NFL in sacks and making his first All-Pro team and third straight Pro Bowl.

2018 Stat Predictions:  41 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, 4 forced fumbles.
