CB Quinton Dunbar

The favorite to win the starting spot opposite of Josh Norman, Quinton Dunbar has Redskins nation very excited. I’m not as hyped about Dunbar as others, but I do think he has the skill set to succeed. He’ll have his struggles, his technique is a little sloppy and he can get turned around easily, but he’s tall and athletic with long arms. He can win the one-on-one match ups with bigger receivers, but will probably struggle against the speedier guys. As long as Dunbar can absorb the knowledge from guys like Norman and Scandrick, and defensive back coach Torrian Gray, then he’ll be in a spot to make a name for himself and prove me and other doubters wrong.

2018 Stat Predictions:  40 tackles, 3 interceptions, 15 pass deflections

CB Fabian Moreau

In my eyes, Fabian Moreau is a better corner prospect than Dunbar, but still needs to grow. I think Dunbar will begin the season as the starter, but Moreau will be right behind him taking snaps and eventually will take the starting job. He was viewed as a low first, high second-round pick before a pectoral tear dropped him to the Redskins in the third. He’s fast, instinctive, and a natural corner unlike Dunbar, who is a converted wide out. This year will tell if the Redskins have the corners of the future in Moreau and Dunbar, or if they’ll need to look towards the draft for Norman’s eventual replacement.

2018 Stat Predictions:  28 tackles, 2 interceptions, 10 pass deflections
